Monrovia is one of twelve C2 Centers nationwide to showcase new partnership

C2 Education (C2) the nation’s premier network of subject tutoring, SAT®, ACT® and PSAT® test prep and education support centers has joined forces with K12 Inc., the leading national provider of online curriculum and school programs for students in pre-kindergarten through high school to make Advanced Placement® (AP®) courses accessible to more students around the Monrovia area.

“This innovative collaboration between online education and brick and mortar tutoring centers creates a unique blended learning opportunity that will open doors to a brighter future for a new population of high school students,” said C2 Education CEO Peter Waller. “By combining K12’s expertise in providing digital education with C2 Education’s hands-on instructional resources, barriers to rigorous, college-level classes are removed, offering students important opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills that colleges and universities value.”

C2 Education’s Monrovia location is one of twelve locations in the U.S. to offer this innovative technology platform of Advanced Placement offerings of twelve AP courses, including calculus, statistics, English literature and biology.

High school students benefit significantly from the competitive edge that Advanced Placement courses deliver. Research from the College Board shows AP students are more likely to complete their degrees on time, saving the costs of a fifth year of college. Some students lack access to AP courses, either because their schools don’t offer them, or because students may not qualify for the courses at their high school. With this new alliance, any area student can now take AP classes together with support from the Monrovia C2 Education Center. Parents or students looking to get more information on this program can stop by the Monrovia location at 522 W. Huntington Drive or call (626) 932-0190.
