Authorities Friday urged other possible victims of a man arrested for allegedly sexually abusing two girls about a decade ago to contact detectives.
Investigators arrested Jesus Ramirez-Ramirez, 69, of South El Monte on April 26, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
On April 28, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged him with three felony counts of lewd acts on a child, and he remains in custody, the sheriff’s department reported.
“The incidents occurred between 2011-2012 when Mr. Ramirez lived in the city of South El Monte,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
“Based on the nature of the allegation and Mr. Ramirez’s access to children, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims,” the statement said. “Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying any such victims.”
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau tipline at 877-710-5273 or contact detectives by email at specialvictimsbureau@lasd.org. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800- 222-TIPS, or use the website lacrimestoppers.org.
