Founded in 2002, Floetry was comprised of Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart. Best known for their sexy soulful slow jams best paired with an early ’00s romance movie montage scene, the two have obvious capabilities of bringing love to the club. Selling over 1.5 million albums, the two were Grammy nominated for best R&B album as well as best R&B single (put “Say Yes” on repeat and you won’t turn back.) The combination of sultry beats and their poetic lyrics won the hearts of many, bringing on a collaboration with Common in their later years. In 2005 the ladies parted musical ways and came out with solo albums soon after.
But just like any good lasting love, the best tend to return to each other. For the first time in 10 years, Floetry will return to Los Angeles to revive us with their sonic love at The Wiltern. You can find us attached to a significant other for dear life, or trying to convince a stranger to hold us for the duration of the show.
Tickets can be found here.
