LA Pride In The Park music festival plays all day in LA State Historic Park

Christina Aguilera is headlining Saturday’s LA Pride In The Park music festival at LA State Historic Park in downtown.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and runs through 11 p.m. with music, activities, food, drinks, vendors and beer gardens.

Along with Aguilera, festival performers include Anitta, Syd, Chika, Michaela Jaé, Rebecca Black, Eureka, Bob the Drag Queen, Zolita, Allison Ponthier, Alexander Stewart, Grag Queen, Edward Frame, A Club Called Rhonda, Boy Untitled x Boy Apocalypse, Drumaq, Gess, Malibu Babie, Mike Taveira, Rossi and San Cha.

The event will take place on the Los Angeles State Historic Park 30-acre lawn, which can hold 25,000 people.

General admission tickets cost $75 and are available at lapride.org/event/2022-la-pride-in-the-park.

LA Pride festivities will continue Sunday with the LA Pride Parade, which was canceled for the past two years due to the pandemic. The parade, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., is returning in a new location in Hollywood.

Paula Abdul will serve as “Icon Grand Marshal,” and other notable participants will be “Celebrity Grand Marshal” Mark Indelicato of “Ugly Betty” and “Hacks” and “Community Grand Marshal” Sir Lady Java.

The parade begins at Hollywood and Cahuenga boulevards, moving west on Hollywood, south on Highland Avenue, east on Sunset Boulevard back to Cahuenga. Following the parade, Pride Village will be open on Hollywood Boulevard, featuring sponsor tents, beverages, carnival attractions, vendors and performances.

The LA Pride Parade, produced by Christopher Street West, has been described as the second largest pride parade in the nation. Usually taking place in West Hollywood, the parade was canceled in 2020, in what would have been its 50th anniversary, because of COVID-19 precautions.
