A Fashionable Soirée: Dapper Day 2015

While Banksy stirs up Dismaland across the pond, there’s a happier, more fashionable effort taking place in SoCal on Friday, September 18th and 19th: Dapper Day 2015 at Disneyland. Dapper Day has been organizing stylish gatherings attended by over 20,000 well-dressed guests twice a year at Disney Resorts in LA, Orlando, and Paris. Paris, folks. 

And, “Dapper” isn’t only about vintage flair, either. Sophisticated styles from classic to contemporary chic also mark the bill to round out the communal day in the park a multi-faceted best in show, and with multiple events happening across the board for two days, appreciation for dressing up to go to the park will no doubt be easy on the eyes. Here’s what to expect:

DAPPER DAY AT THE PARKS, Disneyland – Friday, September 18

Get decked out while visiting both parks of the Disneyland Resort with 20,000+ other fashionable guests.

DAPPER DAY CAR SHOW, Disneyland Hotel – Saturday, September 19

It’s the second car show to ever happen at the Disneyland Resort since Disney’s 1959 “Autocade,” when cars paraded down Main St USA. Expect to find simply the best in toys on wheels in the genres from past to present in refined design Tip: There will also be a ’41 Ford Business Coup on display, as well as vehicles from the Petersen Automotive Museum on display… so make sure to check it out!

CHARLES PHOENIX RETRO DISNEYLAND SLIDE SHOW, DAPPER DAY EDITION – AMC Theaters Downtown Disney – Saturday, September 19

In honor of Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary, entertainer and historian Charles Phoenix (Conan, Cake wars, The Queen Latifah Show) presents an entertaining look at the park’s early days through real vintage “found” slides collected over the years. Should be a great eye-feast on some old school footage.

DAPPER DAY EXPO, Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall – September 18-19 

It’s their biggest expo yet, featuring everything for stylish and sophisticated living from vintage and contemporary clothing and accessories, to bath and beauty products and more. We hear there will be a ton of brands to discover and add to your radar.
