A star has risen from the highly regarded Arcadia National Little League, Minel Aguilar #6. Minel is an El Monte resident who transferred from El Monte National Little League, whose talent and skills were not recognized and valued by the league. Minel Aguilar #6 for the ANLL Cardinals is a proven “Phenom” in the game, one leagues loss is another’s fortune.

This young man’s talent for baseball extends to all positions on the team. Minel excels as a third baseman and seasoned outfielder, with his rifle-like arm, quick reflexes who can effortlessly tag out the incoming opposing team from second base and drive the ball home from the deep outfield. His all-around dexterity to play outfield as well as third base makes him a solid asset to the ANLL Cardinals. Minel has been honing his skills as a pitcher off the field, come next season, batters beware. Minel can keep his opponents in check, no one gets past “his” third base.

This is one rising star to keep an eye on as his passion and tenacity drives his team to victory. Minel has a long history in Little League, first starting off at El Monte National Little League where his love of the game flourished and his tenacity and vigor were pandemic within his division. Nothing could have been greater for Minel’s career than to leave El Monte National Little League where his talents were stifled by politics and dissension in the league.

Minel has shown at an early age his love of the game, always watching baseball at home on TV with his family; father Juan Aguilar, mother Ingrid Aguilar and Arcadia National Little League Major player Anthony Aguilar. Every free chance Minel had to be outside was playing catch with his brother Anthony and working on his batting and pitching with his father Juan, who purchased a batting cage at home to refine both sons’ skills. From the get-go Minel showed baseball acumen and an internal drive to play the game. Now that he is on the field, any team that is fortunate to have him will be a force to be reckoned with.
