The new Downtown Arcadia Holiday Market promises to fill North First Avenue with a holiday artisan shopping market like Arcadia has never seen before. With more than 60 local artisans highlighting their handcraft and food items, there will be something for everyone at this artisanal street fair. The market takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on North First Avenue in Arcadia.

With a particular emphasis in products made in the United States, visitors to the Holiday Market can start filling their holiday shopping list. Featured items include products for the home, jewelry, pet products, and gourmet food items.

While the market offers an exciting and fun shopping opportunity, there is much more for visitors to enjoy. For the kids, the market offers free horse-drawn carriage rides, balloons, and face painting. The whole family will enjoy live music from The Ugly Christmas Sweaters and Mike and the Swinging 8 Balls. Get a family photo with Santa in front of Arcadia Fire Department’s vintage fire truck. A special contest for the Ugliest Christmas Sweater in Arcadia will inspire a few contestants to wear their best (or worst) holiday offering for the 3 p.m. competition.

The Downtown Arcadia Improvement Association will host a raffle for several prizes from local Downtown Arcadia businesses at 5:20 p.m. Visit Downtown Arcadia Holiday Market for more information and to pre-register for a chance to win.

Parking is available in the public parking lot between Huntington and Wheeler, or ride public transportation with the Metro Gold Line, exiting at the Arcadia station. Arcadia Transit Green Line transports visitors between the Snow Festival at the Community Center, parking at Santa Anita Race Track, and the Holiday Market.

The Downtown Arcadia Improvement Association and the City of Arcadia are sponsoring the Holiday Market. For a full list of vendors, please visit Artisanal LA. For more information, please call Arcadia City Hall at 574-5401.
