The California Desert will be taken over by one of the most anticipated art exhibitions of the year
Desert X is ready to takeover the California Desert to showcase one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year.
The event, which was foundedĀ in 2015 as a not-for-profit organization, is set to broadcast contemporary art and music from some of the most recognizable contemporary artists that include: Doug Aitken, Lita Albuquerque, Jennifer Bolande, Will Boone, Claudia Comte, Jeffrey Gibson, Sherin Guirguis, Norma Jeane, Glenn Kaino, Gabriel Kuri, Armando Lerma, Richard Prince, Rob Pruitt, JuliĆ£o Sarmento, Phillip K. Smith III, and Tavares Strachan.
This exhibition was organized by Artistic Director Neville Wakefield, and runsĀ Feb. 25 – April 30 and will be free for the public.
In advance of the inaugural presentation of the Coachella Valley-wide contemporary artĀ exhibition, and in conjunction with program partner Modernism Week, preview and openingĀ events begin in Palm Springs on Feb. 17 through Feb. 26.
