How it works
You nominate
You nominate your favorite businesses
The nominating period is open for 30 days (March 12, 2021 to April 12, 2021). Anyone, except for the business owner itself, can nominate a business through our nominating portal. You can nominate multiple businesses in many categories, or just one.
We announce the top 5
We announce the top 5 nominees and open for public voting
On April 27, 2021 we will announce the top five nominees in each category and open the official public voting portal. Public voting will continue until May 31, 2021.
We announce the winners
Readers and followers will vote for who they think truly deserves the Best of San Gabriel Valley crown. Each voter is required to vote in at least 10 categories for their votes to be counted.
Once the voting period is over we will tally up the winners and publish them online and in our annual Readers’ Choice print magazine hitting the stands on August 26th, 2021.

In the event of a tie HeyMedia reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine the winner based on the contest requirements. Businesses may only win the top spot in a maximum of 3 categories. HeyMedia reserves the right to supplement and modify the rules without notice.
