On Wednesday the ribbon was formally cut for MODA, the 261-apartment complex next to Station Square less than a mile from Old Town Monrovia. Each of the apartments will consist of either one or two bedrooms. There will also be parking for each.

This is the just the first phase of a four-phase development. Phase I offers 66 apartment homes with 120 parking spaces as well as the leasing center, clubhouse, fitness center, and game room. The next phase, which will open soon, will consist of 85 units with another 153 parking spaces, several outdoor living spaces, two landscaped courtyards, a pool and spa, kitchens, barbeque areas, fire pits and a 4,000-square-foot rooftop terrace.

Phase III will add an additional 30 apartments with 55 parking spaces. These units will be available later this month. The final phase will add another 80 apartments with 145 parking spaces and should be available by the end of January 2019.

MODA is just the first of the development projects near the Gold Line Station. Another development is in the planning stages. It will be south of the station and consist of even more units.
