With 13 major floats still to be completed, Fiesta Floats went into overdrive on Boxing Day, Dec. 26, in Irwindale, Calif.

The hub of activity from welding and painting to prepping the flowers and the seeds for the floats surrounded volunteers who were seen wall to wall with unshakable enthusiasm for the 2019 Rose Parade entries they worked on.

Of particular note this year is the elaborate Stella Rosa float which depicts a giant maiden holding a bottle in one hand and a glass of wine in the other.

In keeping with the theme “Melody of Life,” the 55-foot long Stella Rosa float will feature the legendary Grammy-award winning band Kool & the Gang, which has influenced the music of generations and will fittingly be celebrating their 50th year. Adding to the excitement of this collaboration, Kool & the Gang will be singing their hit “Celebrate Good Times” with a twist.

Southern California-based Fiesta Parade Floats (FPF) is the premier builder of parade floats for the Tournament of Roses Parade.
