Dec. 23

Shortly before 4:05 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Winnie Way regarding a suspicious male seen opening mail boxes. Officers located the suspect and, during a consensual search, discovered he was in possession of burglary tools. The 42-year-old male from Pasadena was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At approximately 11:23 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of West Duarte Road regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim reported their rear passenger window was smashed and their diaper bag and contents were stolen sometime during the previous evening. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Dec. 24

Just after 9:39 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Warren Way regarding a package theft report.  Surveillance footage captured a lone suspect stealing the victim’s packages on December 22nd at 1:17 p.m.

The suspect is described as a male, possibly Hispanic, between 20 and 40-years-old, with short black hair, clean shaven, seen wearing dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 11:08 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Woodruff Avenue regarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed the residence was burglarized while it was tented for fumigation. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Dec. 25

Around 12:20 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Palm Drive regarding a battery report. The officer discovered a husband pushed his wife to the ground and punched her during a dispute. The suspect, a 42-year-old male from Arcadia, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just before 9:18 a.m., an officer responded to Re-Planet, 1101 West Huntington Drive, regarding a burglary report. The officer determined unknown suspect(s) cut a pad lock to the exterior door and ransacked the recycling center. The loss is unknown at the time of this report. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Dec. 26

At about 1:47 p.m., an officer responded Macy’s, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft report. Loss prevention witnessed the suspect steal $690.00 worth of merchandise. Upon contacting the suspect, the officer discovered he was a 16-year-old juvenile from Duarte and was in possession of tobacco. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Shortly after 5:32 p.m., an officer responded to Bath and Body Works, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed the suspect stole more than $1,300.00 worth of merchandise from four different stores within the mall. The 30-year-old female from Baldwin Park was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Dec. 27

Before 8:05 a.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of Fano Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. The victim stated her 2000 Chevrolet truck was stolen from her residence sometime during the previous night. A records check revealed the vehicle had been stolen, involved in a collision, and subsequently stored by the California Highway Patrol. The investigation is ongoing.

Around 10:22 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1400 block of South Eighth Avenue regarding a fraud report. The reporting party discovered a mailed check was stolen, altered, and issued to “Julian Salazar” for $800.00. The investigation is ongoing.

Dec. 28

At about 6:36 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a suspicious person. The officer located the subject and, during a consensual search, discovered he was in possession of burglary tools. He was later identified as the suspect in a residential burglary. The 36-year-old male from Pomona was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just before 8:28 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of West Wistaria Avenue regarding an audible alarm activation. The officer discovered the unknown suspect(s) smashed a rear sliding glass door and fled the scene once the alarm activated.  The investigation is ongoing.

Dec. 29

Shortly after 4:56 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of East Camino Real Avenue regarding the activation of an audible alarm. While searching the home, officers located the suspect hiding in a closet.  The 28-year-old male transient from Hacienda Heights was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At approximately 8:17 p.m., an officer responded to the 99 Cent Store, 140 East Duarte Road, regarding an intoxicated subject yelling at customers. The officer located the 28-year-old male from Monrovia and determined he was unable to care for himself. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
