The Arcadia Office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Host Trip to the Mission December Donation Drive for Union Rescue Mission

From now until Monday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m., the Arcadia office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is hosting their annual Trip to the Mission December donation drive for Union Rescue Mission. Community members can drop off donations of clothing, blankets, cash or checks during regular business hours at the Arcadia office, which is located at 15 E Foothill Blvd. in Arcadia.

“The annual Trip to the Mission was started 31 years ago by Bruce Pfeiffer, an affiliate agent in our Arcadia regional office. After 20 years of leading the trip to the mission, Bruce handed over his duties to Dean Griffith, who is also an affiliate agent in our Arcadia regional office,” said Claudia Storey, the branch manager of the Arcadia office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “Last year, we collected $3,750 in donations and 103 bags of clothing. This year, the Mission has a corporation that is matching all donations made between now and the end of the year, so we will be able to double our impact with your help.”

The Union Rescue Mission is focused on reducing homelessness throughout Los Angeles County and specifically Skid Row. Currently, Los Angeles County has 3 percent of the nation’s total population, but 7 percent of its homeless population. About 58,000 people in Los Angeles County are experiencing homelessness on any given night.

“Whether you’re donating $1,000 or simply doing your annual closet cleaning and bringing in a bag of used clothes, the Mission can use the help, so please stop by our office and make a difference,” said Storey.

For assistance or to schedule a picked up for a donation, contact Dean Griffith at (626) 664-9163.
