Halloween Isn’t Just One Day in Old Pasadena

Are you ready for a frightfully fun-filled Halloween in Old Pasadena?

The festivities begin on Sunday, Oct. 21 with The Dog Bakery’s (36 W. Colorado Blvd., Suite 3) “Growl-o-ween” event from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Dress your pooch to impress at the doggy Growl-o-ween parade around Old Pasadena, followed by a costume contest with prizes for the winners. Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling (626) 440-0443.

The festivities continue with One Colorado’s (41 Hugus Alley) Pumpkin Decorating Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. – noon. Get busy with glue sticks and washable markers and create your own Great Pumpkin. Pumpkins will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and all creations go home with their creators.

The seasonal fun culminates with all treats and no tricks on Wednesday, Oct. 31, when Old Pasadena celebrates Halloween night with free store-to-store trick or treating and free surprises along Colorado Boulevard and in the One Colorado Courtyard from 5 – 8 p.m. On Halloween, more than 100 stores and restaurants in Old Pasadena open their doors to all the costumed visitors. Old Pasadena Ambassador Guides hand out fun little Halloween eggs filled with surprises. Kids will have the opportunity to meet and greet various popular costumed characters along Colorado Boulevard. Take your dressed-up family to the One Colorado Courtyard for free professional photos against a Halloween-themed background and hundreds of pumpkins. The film “Coraline” will also be shown at One Colorado at 7 p.m.
