2018 Annual Gala “Après Ski with Young & Healthy” to be held January 27, 2018

Young & Healthy, a community-based nonprofit that provides access to medical, dental, mental health, and other health services free-of-charge to uninsured and under insured low-income children, will hold its 2018 benefit Gala on January 27, 2018.  The Gala will include an opportunity to double the funds raised for the organization on the evening of the event.

Young & Healthy are excited to announce that for the second year in a row the Helen and Will Webster Foundation have generously challenged Young & Healthy with a 2:1 matching grant for all donations made on the night of its 2018 Gala.  This includes all donations made during the silent and live auctions, paddle raise, and opportunity drawing at the Gala.

The alpine-themed 2018 Gala, “Après Ski with Young & Healthy”, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at DTLA’s newest and hottest premier event space in the heart of the fashion district, City Market Social House will honor All Saints Church and Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church with the J. Donald Thomas Award, and Darrell Done with the Alliance Award.  These awards are given to those whose dedication, perseverance, and selfless devotion to the wellbeing of children exemplifies the spirit that led to the founding of Young & Healthy over 28 years ago.

Founded in 1990, Young & Healthy was born from a community need to improve quality of life for children in the Pasadena area.  The result is a human-scale solution to a large-scale problem: people helping people; and health professionals sharing their time, skills and resources with children whose families would otherwise be unable to access that care.

The 2018 Gala will help raise funds to continue Young & Healthy’s mission and ensure that all children have equitable access to quality medical care.  All proceeds will benefit Young & Healthy, a 501(c)(3) organization.
