One suspect on the run

An Arcadia police officer observed a suspicious vehicle in a residential neighborhood and attempted to pull it over for a vehicle code violation on Monday, shortly after 10 p.m. The officer activated his forward facing red light in an attempt to pull the vehicle over and the vehicle sped away from the officer at a high rate of speed. A short pursuit ensued and the suspect vehicle lost control and collided with a business at Rosemead Boulevard and Blanch Street, in the neighboring city of Pasadena. Officers searched the area, located one of the suspects and took him into custody for the pursuit and suspicion of residential burglary.

The arrested suspect Deandre Daytan Macintosh Jr., out of Rialto, Calif., is currently being held at the Arcadia Police Department’s jail with a bail of $75,412. The other suspect is described as a male, black, in his early twenties, wearing dark clothing, and last seen fleeing on foot away from the officer at the site of the collision.

This is currently under investigation by the Arcadia Police Department.
