All Precincts Now Reporting, Still Waiting for Vote-by-Mail Results

As of 9:30 pm, ballots from all 9 precincts had arrived at central counting, though officials have still not finished counting the vote-by-mail ballots, all of which will be counted before any of those collected from the precincts.
City Clerk Jim Barrows assured those in attendence that the mail-in ballots would be counted in very short order. Counting of the remaining ballots should be a rather quick process.
Barrows also said that Precinct 36 had a total of 492 votes, the highest number of any precinct. Adding the precint average to the approximately 4300 mail-in votes gives an estimated voter turnout of around 7 to 8 thousand votes cast in the election.
