A 55-hour full closure of eastbound lanes on the 210 Freeway at the 5 Freeway is planned for Oct. 2-5 in Sylmar. (Map courtesy of Caltrans) Caltrans has announced a 55-hour full closure of eastbound lanes on the 210 Freeway (the Foothill Freeway) at the 5 Freeway (the Golden State Freeway) that is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Oct. 2 and go through to 5 a.m. Oct. 5 in Sylmar. Lanes affected eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway to Roxford Street the 5 Freeway connector to the eastbound 210 Freeway eastbound Yarnell Street on- and off-ramps Drivers will be detoured to the Roxford Street off-ramp and State Route 118. The project is scheduled to run through spring 2023 or, if weather or other conditions are not favorable for construction, to early 2024. Other communities affected by the construction include Lake View Terrace, San Fernando and surrounding unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
