Rize Credit Union hosted a ribbon-cutting event Tuesday to celebrate a new Monrovia branch.
Community members, local leaders and business partners were in attendance at Rize’s newest location at 427 S. Myrtle Ave. The event featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting, remarks from Rize executives and opportunities for attendees to tour the new space and connect with the local branch team.
“The opening of our Monrovia branch reflects our commitment to expanding access to financial services in the communities we serve,” Rize President and CEO Jennifer Oliver said in a statement. “Monrovia is a close-knit community with a strong sense of connection and we wanted to be a resource that people can rely on. Our goal was to give members a welcoming space to build relationships and feel supported for years to come.”
The new branch is in the heart of historic Old Town Monrovia and preserves the building’s history, “blending the neighborhood’s timeless character with thoughtfully designed modern upgrades,” according to the credit union. “The result: a bright, modern banking experience rooted in tradition and built for the future, offering personalized financial guidance and convenient access to everyday banking services.”
Credit union members and visitors can open accounts, apply for loans, receive financial guidance and access a range of personal and business banking services.
“The new location supports Rize Credit Union’s mission to empower members through financial education, personalized service and community investment,” credit union officials said. “As a Community Development Financial Institution, Rize remains committed to creating greater access to financial resources and opportunities for the communities it serves.”
