The San Bernardino County Library is introducing two online resources for library cardholders: Libby’s Laker Book Club and HeritageHub.

Libby’s Laker Book Club is a free digital reading program available through the Libby app that gives library cardholders instant access to a featured eBook with no holds or waitlists for a limited time, encouraging the community to read together.

Beginning Monday through Aug. 9, County Library cardholders can take advantage of this reading opportunity by borrowing Matt Dinniman’s bestselling novel “Dungeon Crawler Carl” as an eBook with no holds or waitlists. This limited-time promotion provides instant access to one of today’s most popular LitRPG (literary role-playing game) novels.

In addition, the County Library has added HeritageHub, a genealogy and local history database that helps users explore their family history through access to historical newspapers, obituaries, census records, military records, city directories and other historical documents.

“The San Bernardino County Library is committed to providing innovative digital resources that inspire curiosity, encourage lifelong learning and connect our communities with information anytime, anywhere,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “Whether readers are discovering a new bestselling title through Libby or exploring their family’s history with HeritageHub, these resources demonstrate the incredible value of a library card.”
