Corona residents asked to reduce outdoor water use this November

From Nov. 3 through Nov. 13, all Corona residents and businesses are asked to temporarily reduce outdoor water use to help the city manage a critical maintenance period. The Metropolitan Water District will undertake a non-routine inspection on a Feeder Pipeline at Lake Mathews, which delivers raw water to Corona’s surface water treatment plants.

To complete the work, Metropolitan will need to stop all water deliveries to the lower feeder pipeline, discontinuing the amount of surface water available to Corona. Residents can help by turning off sprinklers and irrigation systems and hand-watering when necessary, using a hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle.

Residents with any questions or concerns, can reach out to the Customer Care Team at CustomerCare@CoronaCA.gov. The Customer Care Team is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
