Street repair project completed early in San Bernardino

The City of San Bernardino has completed a street repair that accelerated the resurfacing of 28 road segments across the city in need of repair, and addressed streets with significant asphalt cracks, potholes, “alligatoring,” ruts, and raveling.

The project, approved by City Council in December 2024, was originally anticipated to take a year to complete, however crews were able to finish the project five months ahead of schedule.

The streets that were part of the project were:

  • Alto Drive between Verde Drive & El Camino Drive
  • Carnegie Drive between Hospitality Lane & Vanderbilt Way
  • West 2nd Street between E & G Streets
  • Lynwood Drive between 30th Street & Harrison Street
  • Macy Street between Highland Avenue & Adams Street
  • Medical Center Drive between 24th & 27th Streets
  • Muscott Street between Rialto Avenue and 1655 Muscott
  • Roberds Avenue between Vine Street & 8th Street
  • Valencia Avenue between Highland Avenue & 30th Street
  • 11th Street between Acacia Avenue and E Street
  • Waterman Avenue between 5th & 9th Streets
  • H Street between 30th Street & Edgehill Road
  • Lytle Creek Park Parking Lot
  • Grant Avenue between I & K Streets
  • 39th Street between Del Rosa Avenue & Mountain Avenue
  • Medical Center between 6th & 9th Streets
  • 30th Street between E Street & Arrowhead Avenue
  • 6th Street between Sierra Way & Mountain View
  • Oakhurst Drive between Windsor Drive & Windsor Drive
  • Roxbury Drive between Windsor Drive & Windsor Drive
  • Arrowhead Avenue between 30th Street & Marshall Blvd.
  • Evans Avenue between Crestview Avenue & its Dead End
  • J Street between Hazel Avenue & Grant Avenue
  • Kendall Drive between 2125 Kendall & Campus Parkway
  • Kendall Drive between 2874 & 3194 Kendall Drive
  • Palm Avenue between the Denny’s & Interstate 215
  • Ridgecrest Ct.
  • Summit Crest Ct.

The $5.6 million project was funded by American Rescue Plan Act.
