The City of Long Beach’s 14th Annual Uptown Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave., Long Beach, 90805).
“What started as a local celebration in North Long Beach, has grown into one of our city’s most cherished summer traditions,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “The Uptown Jazz Festival brings our community together to enjoy world-class music, local flavor, and the spirit of unity that makes Long Beach so special.”
This year’s festival will be filled with music and entertainment, showcasing a diverse lineup of artists. The event will feature food and beverage offerings available for purchase, a dedicated Kids Zone for family fun, and a variety of vendor and community resource booths.
“The Uptown Jazz Festival is a highly anticipated annual event that brings our community together in celebration of music, culture and unity,” said Ninth District Councilmember Dr. Joni Ricks-Oddie. “This free event welcomes thousands annually with celebrated musical artists who bring a sound for every generation and I’m proud to host it once again in the heart of North Long Beach, where families, neighbors and visitors alike can enjoy an afternoon of entertainment, delicious food, local vendors and community at this all day festival. I look forward to seeing everyone at Houghton Park for an unforgettable day that truly reflects the spirit and diversity of our district.
Permitted businesses and community organizations interested in participating as a vendor are invited to sign up via the vendor interest form. Submissions must be completed by Friday, July 11.
