Vallarta Supermarkets has signed a lease to occupy the former Best Buy building at 1470 Mountain Ave. There is a lot of work to do to prepare the 46,000 square foot building and work will take several months, Duarte officials said in a statement Monday.
According to officials, new grocery store options have been high on the economic development priority list.
Vallarta recently opened stores in Colton and Clovis and new stores are coming in Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Upland and several other California cities.
