Poppy Bank opened a Pasadena branch earlier this month, bank officials announced.

“As we continue to expand our reach in Southern California, we are thrilled to establish a branch in the city of Pasadena,” President and CEO Khalid Acheckzai said in a statement.“We look forward to furthering the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce’s mission to support its business leaders to grow companies and improve the community.”

Poppy Bank specializes in creating personal deposit portfolios with products and services that include treasury management  and commercial, construction and SBA/USDA lending, bank officials said. The bank is also one of a few in the nation to offer financing known as C-PACE, or Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy.
