The city of Monrovia continues to make improvements at Rotary Park with the construction of a playground, landscape improvements, and installation of new park furnishings expected to complete in early November, officials said.

The park will reopen Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., according to the city manager’s office.

The new playground equipment has a unique design and play features that are centered around a tree house. The Rotary Park playground will also have Global Motion, a multilevel spinning feature with many ways to ride in, ride on or swing from it. Other planned enhancements include new picnic tables and benches and a new mural.

Monrovia residents and parkgoers should expect temporary parking restrictions along Lemon Avenue and construction fencing around the playground through November. Construction schedules may change, officials said.
