Former OC school employee charged with sending porn to student

A former social worker for a Placentia middle school was charged Thursday with distributing porn to a former student.

Prince Charming, 40, of Fullerton was charged with distributing pornography to a minor with the intent to engage in sexual conduct and contacting a minor with the intent to commit a specified offense, both felonies.

Charming stayed in contact with some former students of Valadez Middle School Academy and was sending “inappropriate materials like videos and pictures” to them, Placentia police Sgt. Bryce Angel said.

Charming was arrested Tuesday, Angel said.

According to the criminal complaint, Charming was accused of sending the porn to a male student on May 22.

Charming was an intern at the school from August 2021 to June of this year, police said.

Police asked any of the defendant’s former students to step forward if they had an relevant information for investigators and call 714-993-8169. Orange County Crime Stoppers will field anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.

Charming did not enter a plea at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 10 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
