Firefighters put out a fire in Glassell Park on Saturday that destroyed one of three buildings on a residential property and damaged a second structure.

The fire at 2603 W. Crestmoore Place in the northeast Los Angeles neighborhood was reported at 9:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The LAFD deployed 35 firefighters, who extinguished the fire that engulfed the two-story dwelling in 21 minutes.

Firefighters were investigating the cause of the fire and unconfirmed reports that people were inside the home.

LAFD crews prevented the fire from extending into exposed vegetation on two sides of the building that would have threatened adjacent residences.
