Today is 7-Eleven’s 95th birthday and to help them celebrate, get a free small Slurpee for the convenience store’s annual Slurpee Day. It’s a longstanding tradition, though patrons must do just a touch more legwork to get their free frozen treat.

You’ll need a smartphone if you want a small Slurpee on the house. The promotion now goes through
their 7Rewards member or Speedy Rewards member phone apps, so you’ll need a loyalty account for the Slurpee coupon to be uploaded to. The app keeps track of whether the coupon has been redeemed or not, so there’s no getting one twice.

Unable to make it to a 7-Eleven today? You can also get your free drink delivered to you, using their 7NOW delivery service. For a limited time only, those who order through the app can get a free pizza by using the code PIZZA.

On top of the Slurpees, customers can also get $1 deals on other items in the store, like a slice of pizza, taquitos, and other food offerings at select stores.

The chain will also be selling the drinks for $1 for the rest of the summer. Those who were already 7Rewards members or Speedy Rewards members got early access to the store’s deals, which started on July 1.

July 11 (7/11) has always been Slurpee Day for the chain and for more than 20 years, they’ve done their free Slurpee giveaway on the day. The only time the event didn’t take place was in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, instead deciding to extend the amount of time customers had to get the deal.
