LAC+USC Medical Center officials seeking identity, relatives of patient

Officials at LAC+USC Medical Center sought the public’s help Tuesday to identity and find relatives of a man who has been hospitalized at the facility for nearly two weeks.

The man was found by paramedics near Third Street and Pacific Avenue in San Pedro on April 29 and was brought to the hospital, according to the medical facility. He said his name was Jerry Armstrong, with a date of birth of Dec. 9, 1963, but had no identification.

He is described as Black, 5-feet-10 inches tall, weighing 168 pounds, with black/gray hair and black eyes.

Anyone knowing his identity was urged to call Ileana Galvez of the hospital’s Department of Social Work at 323-409-4295.
