Truong began his postal career in 1998, as a PTF Letter Carrier. During his career, he has held positions as an acting supervisor and a customer service associate at the Verdugo Viejo Station and the Grand Central Station, both in Glendale.

In November 2014, he was officially promoted as the supervisor of customer service at the Burbank Post Office.
