Pan-American Hoy!, a snapshot — developed by iLe and Lido Pimienta — of the colorful, vibrant community of musicians across the Americas featuring up-and-coming artists will be showcased at The Ford on Friday, Oct. 15 at 8:00 p.m. PST.

The show is described as a celebration of Latin American music, with the artists’ performances highlighting the rich traditions and contemporary creativity that embodies the genre today.

Illena “iLe” Cabra, a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, has been celebrated by a wide variety of people within the industry, ranging from NPR to Bob Dylan. The New York Times called her Grammy-winning 2016 album iLevitable “a knowingly retro survey of Latin music’s past, full of romance and a longing that can turn despondent.”

The Colombian-born, Toronto-based singer and producer Lido Pimienta takes inspiration from Afro-Latin sounds —from palenque to cumbia — and is influenced by indigenous Canadian musicians like A Tribe Called Red and Tanya Tagaq. After winning the Polaris Music Prize for her 2016 album La Papessa, she released Miss Colombia in 2020 which was revered by Rolling Stone and named one of the best albums of the year by NPR.

Single tickets for the entire summer season at The Ford are available from www.theford.com or at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office from noon to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The Ford Box Office opens two hours before showtime during the season.
