2 lanes of Sepulveda Tunnel near LAX to close overnight 4 days this week

Two southbound lanes of the Sepulveda Tunnel near Los Angeles International Airport will be closed Monday evening and Tuesday night for crews to clean the tunnel’s walls, and later in the week two northbound lanes will close overnight.

The southbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday nights, but at least one lane will remain open at all times, officials said.

On Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning, two northbound lanes will close, with one lane remaining open at all times.

Officials urged people traveling to the airport to allow for extra time in case there is traffic in and around the tunnel.
