Lancaster fatal shooting victim identified, investigation underway

One man dead and another injured during an altercation in Lancaster.

Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was fatally shot in Lancaster.

The shooting was reported at 10:28 p.m. Sunday in the 44200 block of Beech Avenue, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Bryan Anderson, 41, of Quartz Hill, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported. Anderson had been shot several times in the upper body, Koerner said.

No arrests have been reported, and no information was available on a suspect.
