A pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle and killed Tuesday morning on a connector road from the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown.

The crash was reported at 5:16 a.m. on the connector from the northbound Harbor Freeway around West Third Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of a white bobtail truck told dispatchers the male ran from the right shoulder to the center divider wall.

A witness told the CHP the pedestrian was hit by another vehicle and thrown at the truck.

A SigAlert was issued at 5:37 a.m., shutting down the connector road at Third Street, but the main northbound Harbor Freeway remained open.
