Southern California Edison facility fire leaves part of Cypress in dark

A fire Monday morning at a Southern California Edison power facility has left thousands of Cypress customers in the dark.

Edison reported 18,269 customers were affected at 5:22 a.m., according to its online outage center.

Media reports said some residents of Buena Park were also affected.

There was no estimated time of restoration, Edison said.

Fox11 reported the cause was a fire in a local power facility in Cypress.
