A man was shot on an Anaheim street and died a short time later at a hospital, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported at 9:24 p.m. Sunday at Laxore Street and Orange Avenue, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
The victim, who was in his 40s, suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest, Carringer said. He was taken by paramedics to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity was withheld pending notification of his family, Carringer said.
