Man shot to death in Cudahy, boy arrested in connection with killing

A boy was taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of a man in Cudahy Monday, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

The shooting occurred about 1:20 p.m. in the 7600 block of Atlantic Avenue, near Clara Street, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Responding deputies found the man suffering gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His name was not immediately released.

The sheriff’s department announced at about 7:45 p.m. that a “male juvenile” was taken into custody. No further details were released.
