50 firefighters knock down North Hollywood fire in 32 minutes

A fire ignited at a vacant two-story commercial building in North Hollywood was quickly put out by fire crews on Saturday, according to LAFD.

The fire was reported at 3:27 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard, just north of where the Hollywood (170) Freeway crosses the boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.

It took 50 firefighters 32 minutes to put out the flames on the second floor of the building, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported and an investigation was underway to determine how the fire started, he said.
