The Grammy Museum at L.A. LIVE Celebrates Grammy Week

Happy Grammys Week! What better way to celebrate the awards season’s dark horse than by paying homage to the music industry’s most colorful legends?

All this week, the Grammy Museum will be hosting special programs honoring music history and education throughout a range of genres and generations.

Some exhibits currently on view include Respect! Otis Redding and the Revolution of Soul, Legends of Motown: Celebrating the Supremes, Ravi Shankar: A Life In Music, George Carlin: A Place For My Stuff, as well as Sinatra: An American Iconwhich closes this upcoming Monday, February 15th.

The addition to its rotating collections, this week, the museum will also be presenting a live talk on Tuesday, February 9 at 7:30pm featuring Epic Records CEO/Chairman and 3-time Grammy winner, L.A. Reid as well an intimate Hawaiian-inspired concert featuring performances by GRAMMY winner Charles Brotman, GRAMMY nominees Amy Hanaiali’i, Raiatea Helm and Jeff Peterson, and Pali, Kawika Kahiapo, Bobby Moderow Jr. of Maunalua, and Makana on Wednesday, February 10 at 8:30pm. The concert will be held in conjunction with the opening of the Museum’s latest exhibit, Kī Hōʻalu: Honoring the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Tradition.
