Cranna, known for still life, portraits, and beauty shots comes to D’BLANC with an artistic perspective that perfectly highlights the shape and strong lines of the sunglasses while equally illuminating the feelings of the models wearing them. “I love shooting models in sunglasses. I think it makes them feel invisible and I’m always amazed by how much they loosen up once they’re behind the protection of the glasses. I’m also fascinated by the graphic shapes of sunglasses, so when D’Blanc reached out about a collaboration, I was super excited to photograph their designs. We did a series of still lifes and then I also shot some of the styles with a few of my favorite models.” — Molly Cranna
