After marching through the streets of Old Town Pasadena Saturday, hundreds of residents plan to declare their support for a higher wage directly to city leadership at the upcoming second Ed Tech Committee hearing on raising wages. Residents and community activists want to see the City adopt a policy with a $15/hour wage, wage enforcement, and more paid sick days. A recent poll came out showing strong support across diverse Pasadena voters for raising the minimum wage.
The Raise the Wage and Pasadenans for a Livable Wage Coalitions, Pasadena workers, clergy, and community members will also be available for interviews in English and Spanish before the hearing at 5:30 p.m.
