Detectives Investigate Discovery of Human Bones in Angeles National Forest

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human bones at Glendora Ridge Road Mile Marker 10.5, Angeles National Forest.

Homicide detectives responded to the location to investigate human remains that were found Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Two hunters in the area discovered a human skull over the side of a cliff at that location and reported the find to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, homicide detectives in conjunction with members of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, have responded to the location to search for additional human remains.

The cause of death and identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

The investigation is still on-going.
