On Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at approximately 9:20 p.m., four victims sustained injuries as the result of a shooting that occurred in the 1800 block of Navarro Avenue. The Pasadena Police Department has seen a recent increase in gang and violent activities over the past few weeks which are of significant concern for our community. The violence includes gang graffiti located in rival gang areas, indiscriminate shootings and a senseless stabbing.

As a result of this violence, Pasadena Police Chief John Perez has authorized the strategic deployment of resources to reduce further violent acts and arrest those responsible. These violence reduction efforts will include high visibility policing efforts, undercover investigative techniques and the utilization of additional regional resources. The goal of these efforts is to prevent such violence while keeping members of the Pasadena community safe. These efforts, along with community members reporting and providing information of crimes and suspicious activity, will assist police in their investigations and allow for a better quality of life for community members.

Anyone with information about this most recent shooting or other violent acts is encouraged to call Pasadena Police at (626) 744-4241 or you may report information anonymously by calling “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), use your smartphone by downloading the “P3 Tips” mobile app on Google Play or the Apple App Store or by using the website lacrimestoppers.org.
