ASEZ Hosts Crime Reduction forum to Educate Students on Safety
ASEZ, which stands for Save the Earth from A to Z, hosted a Crime Reduction forum Wednesday, September 18, 2019 to promote campus safety and reduce crime. The forum was part of the worldwide campaign, ASEZ REDUCE CRIME TOGETHER, a global crime prevention movement for human happiness. The campaign focuses on promoting the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations (SDGs).
Distinguished guests at the recent forum included FBI Special Agent Fred Simon, Los Angeles Mayor Representative for West Valley Area Tanaz Golshan, Laura M. Rodriguez, Special Investigator, FBI, BICS and Jon Jenkins, CSUN Police Department, Sergeant.
Several of the notable guests signed an agreement with ASEZ to reduce crime together, including FBI Special Agent Fred Simon, Los Angeles Mayor Representative for West Valley Area Tanaz Golshan, and Laura M. Rodriguez, Special Investigator, FBI, BICS.
The proposal titled, Agreement on Support for “Reduce Crime Together” has received more than 39,081 signatures in 25 countries by multiple government officials throughout the world, such as the First Lady of Peru, Vice President of the Philippines Leni Robredo, President of UN Association of Utah, U.S., President of Kalinga University Raipur, India, President of UN Association of San Diego, U.S., and Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to name a few.
The recent event, which was held at Cal-State University Northridge, provided presentations on safety and crime reduction to educate college students on ways to reduce crime.
ASEZ is a global group of university student volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God. The group acts to solve practical problems around the world, believing “The answer to all these challenges depends on young adults and university students who are the leaders of future generations. We have the power to change present despair to future hope, and current frustration to future happiness. The power of one person is weak, but if all of us work together to solve the problems each campus is facing, the hopeful future of humanity will soon become a reality.”
