Pasadena Police Community Briefing Video of Officer Involved Shooting

On Thursday May 2, 2019, an Officer Involved Shooting occurred on Raymond Avenue and Woodbury Road in Altadena at the termination of a vehicle pursuit. No officers were injured during this incident and the occupants of the vehicle were not hit by gunfire. The Critical Incident Community Briefing is based upon a preliminary review of the incident, which is still under investigation. Additional facts may be discovered as more evidence is located and reviewed.

The Pasadena Police Department conducts Use of Force investigations, which includes, interviewing witnesses, officers involved, analyzing video and forensic evidence, as well as eyewitness statements. After the investigation is completed, a Use of Force Hearing will commence and the police chief will make a final determination whether the officers involved acted within department policy.
