Shumei America Announces Their Third Annual Green Life Food Festival in Pasadena

Shumei America will be hosting their third annual Green Life Food Festival, on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Festival will take place at the Shumei America National Center located at 2430 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena. All ages are invited and welcomed. This annual event focuses on raising awareness by connecting growers and consumers with a variety of farming techniques emphasizing on Natural Agriculture. Focusing on the appreciation of nature and learning different ways to support having greener lifestyles while having fun and meeting great people from the local community. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a macrobiotic cooking class, agricultural workshops, a variety of talks, classes with advocates of sustainable and regenerative practices for a healthier you.

Diana Jerkins, of the Organic Farming Research Foundation, will kick-off the morning Festival Speaker Presentations, followed by Alice Cunningham, of Shumei International, and Anthony Rodale of the Sustainable Food Alliance.  The afternoon Speaker Presentations will begin at 2:20 p.m. and feature Lilian Hill, of the Hopi Tutskwa Permaculture Institute and Jessica Handy of Kiss the Ground.

The day will also be full of good food, fun, and drink by the MCafe, Erewhon Market, Wholesome Eseence, VegiLicious, Pocawana Farm Wines, and more.  Also, throughout the day, Workshops and Classes will be held about Macrobiotic Cooking, Kaori Aromatherapy Crafts, Plant Uses and Survival Skills, Optimizing your Cellular Health, and the Beginner’s Guide to Low Impact Living. The children will also have a special area for exciting Crafts and fun.
