The suspect involved in the officer involved shooting (OIS) last week has been identified as 21-year-old Pasadena resident Francisco Flores.

According to LASD, Flores is still in the hospital following surgery and is in serious condition. A second occupant of the vehicle being pursued by Pasadena police officers in the incident which led to the shooting turned himself into authorities on Friday.

That suspect is identified as Edgar Miron, 20, of Pasadena. Miron was booked for suspicion of felony evading with a gang enhancement.

Records indicate Miron was booked in Pasadena and transferred to the County’s Men’s Central Jail on Sunday. He is being held in lieu of a $115,000 bail.

Pasadena police attempted to pull over a car in the vicinity of North Los Robles Avenue and Adena Street after officers said they saw suspicious activity last Friday, April 8.

Sheriff’s Department Commander Rod Kusch said as the car was being pursued by police, a passenger jumped from the car and officers chased him by foot.

The suspect was carrying a handgun and, Kusch said, he opened fire on the pursuing officers. The officers returned fire, striking the suspect in the upper torso area.

No officers were injured.
