If you wanted a thriller besides Michael Jackson’s smash hit, then Wednesday night’s match-up between La Salle and Muir had you covered with the close score of 69-66. The Lancers had a close battle with the Mustangs but were able to hold the lead thanks to clutch free throw shooting and pressured defense. Lancer’s Oyie-Little (#5) finished with a game-high 28 points followed by a powerful performance from Knox who had 27.
The Lancers will now face Centennial (Compton, CA) on Friday, February 19 @ 7 p.m. Centennial dominated their opponent SCHS on Wednesday 83-43, so it’s bound to be an interesting match-up. The game will be played at a neutral location.
