Senator Carol Liu (D-La Cañada Flintridge) announced that she is endorsing Anthony Portantino and Phlunte Riddle in the race to replace her in the 25th District Senate seat. Liu, who is in her eighth year as a State Senator, is terming out this year.
The 25th Senate District is fortunate to have two qualified candidates running for this seat,” Liu said. “Anthony is a seasoned politician with six years of experience in the Assembly,” she continued. “Phlunte has been a member of this community all of her life serving as a public safety leader, on the boards of community non-profits, and as an educator. Her skill sets will easily transfer to the Senate and I would be thrilled to have a woman succeed me,” she added.
